KH was appointed as VP, Manufacturing in February 2021. Prior to this, he was the General Manager of PT PCI in Batam, Indonesia production plant from April 2014 where he was leading and managing PT PCI’s operations encompassing Human Resource Management, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Production and Logistics activities.
KH Pek first joined PCI in March 1995 as Senior Industrial Engineer. His previous roles include Operation and Engineering Manager in July 2006, where he was responsible for PT PCI Batam’s engineering and production operations, and NPI Engineering Manager for PCI Singapore.
Prior to joining PCI, KH had 7 years of manufacturing experience as Manufacturing Engineer and Industrial Engineer experience In Thomson TV and Maxtor Peripheral respectively and is a certified Lean Sigma Black Belt and Lean Expert. KH applied his skills and experience to transform and upgrade PT PCI’s manufacturing operations through consolidating factory space, reducing holding inventory and use of automation to drive towards Industrial 4.0 ready operating environment.
KH holds a Master of Engineering Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia, an Advanced Diploma in Automation in Manufacturing from Singapore Polytechnic, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic and a Diploma in Management Studies from Singapore Institute of Management.
